We are seeking a Group Leader R&D to lead our Product & Process Development function. This is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for shaping the future of our product portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving innovation across a multi-disciplinary team.

?? What You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Leading a team of 7 direct reports across R&D disciplines, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Managing a £1.5M budget and ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
  • Acting as the regulatory lead, guiding the business through the evolving foods and medicines regulatory landscape.
  • Driving project management excellence to balance growth initiatives with compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Influencing senior stakeholders with clear, concise communication of complex technical challenges and opportunities.
  • Ensuring all development activities comply with GMP and company policies.
  • Serving as gatekeeper in the project development process, ensuring high standards and strategic alignment.

  • A degree (or equivalent) in a scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Proven leadership and coaching experience in a technical or R&D environment.
  • Strong project and change management skills.
  • Regulatory expertise, particularly in medicines and food compliance.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • A passion for innovation, sustainability, and delivering results in complex environments.
