With a contract running until 31st August 2026 and the potential for extension, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the automotive industry.
Position Details:
- Contract Length: Until 31/08/2026 (potential for extension)
- Working Hours: 37 hours per week
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week, flexible based on business needs)
- Compensation: PAYE: 31.02 per hour LTD: 40.46 per hour
- Travel: Opportunities for international and UK travel
- Driving Requirement: Full UK Driving License required
Key Responsibilities:
As our Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring quality standards and driving improvements. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Quality Planning Activities:
- Lead the delivery of parts quality planning tools and facilitate QTR activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and document lessons learned. - Part Maturation and Approval:
- Oversee the approval process and manage suppliers through the Meisterbock process.
- Address and report on part issues in line with the Quality plan. - Achieving Quality Targets:
- Drive actions to meet product quality targets and escalate risks as necessary.
- Tackle quality issues related to pre-series and series vehicles. - Supplier Improvement and Problem-Solving:
- Monitor supplier performance and initiate improvement initiatives.
- Use recognised techniques to solve problems and deliver effective presentations. - Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to promote quality standards.
- Represent the organisation professionally in supplier interactions.
What You Bring:
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Extensive experience in automotive supplier quality management.
- A solid understanding of quality planning tools and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities to engage with senior management and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or HNC/HND with relevant experience.
- Associate membership of a relevant professional institution.
- A valid UK driving license.
