Job Title: Senior Site Supervisor (x2)
Location: Crewe (Office-based with borough-wide travel)

Rate: 40-45 per hour (Inside IR35)
Overview:
We are seeking up to two experienced Senior Site Supervisors to support the delivery of civil engineering and surfacing projects across the area. This is a contract role, ideal for individuals with strong site supervision experience in highways or infrastructure schemes. The successful candidates will manage a range of improvement works-from scoping through to execution-ensuring safety, quality, and performance targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Delivery
Lead and supervise the delivery of planned, reactive, and emergency works.
Scope and manage minor and major improvement projects efficiently.
Oversee both internal delivery teams and subcontractor performance.
Ensure delivery meets programme targets, contractual obligations, and budget constraints.
Engage early with design and supply chain to assess buildability and mitigate risks.
Site Supervision & Technical Oversight
Conduct daily site inspections and produce clear site supervision reports.
Interpret technical drawings and contribute to design improvements.
Deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks to operational teams.
Ensure all activities comply with Health & Safety, CDM regulations, and company procedures.
Support junior team members and deputise for the Team Leader when required.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience in civil engineering, highways, or resurfacing supervision.
Experience managing project budgets and handling contract variations/change control.
Familiarity with NEC contract conditions and project delivery methods.
Strong knowledge of H&S legislation, CDM, and risk management on-site.
Competent in Microsoft Office and site management tools.
Desirable Experience:
Experience delivering infrastructure projects valued at 2 million+, particularly footway or cycleway improvements.
Working knowledge of MCHW, DMRB, and NRSWA.
Awareness of statutory obligations such as the Land Drainage Act.
