About this Position:
A Functional Safety Engineer is required to join the Electrical Engineering department. The role is responsible for facilitating Functional Safety activities across the department in line with ISO 26262 standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the position will support the delivery of Electrical Engineering functions and ensure compliance throughout the entire engineering development lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities:

Ensure vehicle functions are developed in accordance with ISO 26262, from concept through to end of life.

Support Function Owners in assessing the technical impact of changes and lead safety-related reviews such as Hazard Analysis & Risk Assessment and Development Interface Agreements.

Act as the technical point of contact for Functional Safety within the Electrical Engineering department, developing safety strategies where required.

Conduct verification reviews of work products to ensure ISO 26262 compliance.

Facilitate and coordinate Functional Safety activities across multiple projects and stakeholders.
Experience Required:

Engineering degree or equivalent qualification; professional membership desirable.

Strong knowledge of electrical vehicle functions, including hardware, software and systems.

Experience in Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment, Functional Safety Concepts, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis and Systems Engineering.

Proven ability to communicate effectively across different levels and forums.

Skills in design, development, problem-solving and influencing stakeholders.

Experience in leading safety review meetings.
