Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about working with young people? Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dynamic and reliable Cover Supervisor to work in a thriving secondary school in Crewe. This is a temporary position with immediate start, offering a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive school environment.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising pupils during the absence of their regular class teacher. You'll be delivering pre-set work, maintaining classroom behaviour, and ensuring pupils remain on task. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or experienced education professionals looking for flexible work.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering cover lessons across various subjects using resources provided
Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies
Assisting with administrative tasks where required
Ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for all pupils

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English) or equivalent qualifications
Previous experience working with young people (preferred but not essential)
Strong communication and classroom management skills
A proactive and professional attitude
Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
