An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a specialist team focused on the delivery of bespoke and low-volume automotive products. This role involves inspecting parts, assemblies, and complete vehicles to ensure exceptional standards of fit, finish, and functionality are met across a range of workshop and test environments.

Role Overview of Quality Inspector

You'll be responsible for end-to-end quality inspections – from incoming components to final vehicle sign-off – supporting operational targets and ensuring all products meet internal specifications and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities of Quality Inspector

  • Inspect and approve products for quality, finish, and functionality, including road testing where required.
  • Conduct incoming part inspections and in-process checks, including integration with base vehicle models.
  • Oversee rectification work and ensure completed repairs meet required standards.
  • Accurately record quality issues, provide clear problem statements, and log defects in the internal reporting system.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to health and safety practices, risk assessments, and workplace standards.

What We're Looking For in a Quality Inspector

  • Experience in a production, manufacturing, or bespoke build environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with quality processes, inspection tools, and reporting systems.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of technical drawings, trim, and assembly processes.
  • Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence (product driving licence desirable or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Willingness to undertake additional training in inspection standards and vehicle evaluation.
