Key Responsibilities of the Vehicle Technician

Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a range of vehicles
Conduct diagnostic testing to identify faults and determine the best repair solutions
Complete MOT preparation and repairs in line with DVSA standards (if qualified)
Perform electrical and mechanical system repairs, replacements, and adjustments
Work to manufacturer guidelines and quality standards at all times
Use specialist tools and diagnostic equipment to complete work efficiently
Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used
Adhere to all health & safety regulations and workshop best practices
Collaborate with colleagues to meet workshop targets and deliver excellent customer service
Stay up to date with new vehicle technology through ongoing training and development

Desired Skills and Experience of the Vehicle Technician

NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant automotive discipline
Previous experience in a workshop environment
A proactive, driven approach with a commitment to delivering high standards of work
Ability to meet both individual and team targets
Full UK driving licence
