Hours: 39 hours per week (Mon-Wed 07:30–16:30 | Thurs 07:30–16:00 | Fri 07:30–13:00)

About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced CNC Setter or Programmer to operate and set up metal-cutting machinery. You will play a key role in producing tooling and component parts that meet exacting standards. Experience with manual milling, lathes, or grinding is also highly beneficial.
This role would suit someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and a proactive team player who thrives in a hands-on production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a CNC Setter, you will:
- Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes, grinders, millers, drills, and presses.
- Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed.
- Inspect and measure workpieces for defects and accuracy.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to guide operations.
- Select and adjust tools, speeds, and feeds for optimal cutting.
As a CNC Programmer, you will:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to create machine programs.
- Use CAM software to model cutting paths.
- Set machines for different materials and ensure quality output.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and carry out basic maintenance.
- Train colleagues on machine use and programming techniques.
What We’re Looking For:
- CNC setting experience in either milling or turning (programming ideal).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and team-working abilities.
- Manual machining experience is desirable.
- Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
