iRecruit4 are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV1 Driver/Tramper to join our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage logistics effectively.
Duties
- Operate a HGV1 for the delivery of general goods to various locations.
- Monday to Friday (4 nights out), occasional Sat depending on hours
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
- Communicate effectively with the transport office and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
- A valid commercial driving license is essential, along with a clean driving record.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members effectively
Driver rules:
- Previous experience driving HGV 1 (min 2 years) essential
- Max 6pts, No majors - DR, DG, IN, CD
- Valid DL, CPC and Digi Tacho
