Coorie Inn Restaurant and Rooms is looking for a reliable, and hardworking individual to join our AA 2 rosette kitchen. The right person must have a can do attitude with a focus on food, we hope to strive for 3 rosettes in 2026

This 5 star restaurant with rooms is based near Crieff in Perthshire, it is privately owned and managed, with a small and committed team that is going places.

Regular days off with a 5 day shift pattern.

What were looking for:

  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for food with an openness to learn.
  • Previous culinary BOH experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and marinating as required.
  • Support the chef team in cooking and assembling dishes according to the restaurant's menu specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and stored.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is prepared and stored safely.
  • Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to senior kitchen staff.
  • Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.

Skills

  • Strong interest in culinary arts and a desire to learn from experienced chefs.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is advantageous.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities as needed.
