Teacher of French & German

A passionate and well qualified Modern Foreign Languages Teacher is required from September 2023 to take on a temporary fixed term contract for one year covering a maternity.

The role will predominantly involve teaching French and German at KS3 level.

Both experienced and newly qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for this post. The school would also be open to a candidate who does not hold QTS but holds recent relevant experience of supporting the teaching of Languages.

Primary responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver effective French & German lessons at KS3 level
• Be able to foster curiosity for languages and promote language developed in students
• Provide challenge for every pupil and to encourage all pupils to achieve their potential
• Share in departmental best practice

Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK
• Qualified Teacher Status is desirable but not essential
• Successful recent experience working within a languages faculty.
• An ability develop rapport with students.
• Experience of working constructively to achieve team objectives and deadlines (interview)
• DBS registered to the online update service.
