Roles and Responsibility as a Care Assistant:

  • Companionship- spending quality time with your client, and being a friendly, familiar face.
  • Home Help / Meal Preparation assisting with light housekeeping, laundry, cooking simple meal or prepare their ready meals.
  • Medication Support reminding or assisting with taking medications.
  • Personal Hygiene supporting with dressing, undressing, toileting and bathing.
  • Getting Out and About accompanying them to the shops, a café, garden centre, or just a walk for fresh air.

Skill set required for a Care Assistant

  • Ability to communicate clearly and build relationships with clients in a friendly manner.
  • Flexibility for alternative weekend.
  • UK full driving licence and a reliable car.
