Job Title: SEN support assistant
Location: Crowborough
Start date: Flexible
Pay: 90 - 100 per day dependant on qualifications / experience
Job Summary:
At term time teachers, we are seeking a knowledgeable SEN support assistant to support pupils with special educational needs within one our amazing schools in Crowborough. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to provide tailored support, enabling SEN students to access the curriculum and develop their skills in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the teacher in delivering tailored learning activities to SEN students.
- Provide one to one or small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and emotional or behavioural challenges.
- Adapt resources and activities to meet the needs of individual students.
- Encourage positive behaviour and support social integration within the school community.
- Assist with the use of specialist equipment or technology.
- Attend relevant training and meetings related to SEN and professional development.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- You must hold a DBS (or be willing to apply for one)
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
