SEN classes have between 8-12 pupils. More intimate, supported by 2 TA's
Role responsibilities
- Teaching all allocated areas of the primary curriculum; (English, Maths, science, topic, Geography, history, DT, ASDAN, PHSE, Computing)
- Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class group
- Maintain discipline within the classroom that is in line with the the schools Behaviour Policy
- Motivate pupils enthusiastic, imaginative presentation, setting standard for lesson presentation
Requirements
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status
- Successful teaching experience
- SEN Experience and a focus on nurture - SEMH/ASD.
- A good knowledge of the National Curriculum knowledge in more than one area
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Reflective practitioner
- A good understanding of therapeutic approaches to education
- Ability to adapt teaching to meet pupils' needs
- Proven ability to offer dynamic & engaging lessons
