The role will be mainly remote with some travel into the office at Croydon for meetings.

Role Purpose
Are you passionate about project management and looking to make a significant impact in the Information Technology sector? Our client is seeking a dedicated Programme Management Officer to join their Oracle Improvement Programme. This role is pivotal in enhancing the Council's Oracle Cloud Fusion system and ensuring that the programme meets its objectives.

Key Relationships
You will work closely with Programme Board Members, Programme Workstream Leads, Change Leads, Programme Team Members, Business Leads, and System Integrator Project Managers and Leads.

Main Responsibilities
As a Programme Management Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the programme team to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the expected quality. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring programme benefits and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Preparing and administering governance meetings, including the production of agendas, minutes, and action items.
  • Maintaining the RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log and updating programme plans and schedules.
  • Compiling programme reports and providing administrative support to workstreams and the delivery manager.
  • Collaborating with Benefits Owners to update and maintain the programme benefits tracker and prepare reports for governance groups.
  • Developing and maintaining the project library, filing systems, and reporting tools in MS Teams/SharePoint.
  • Advising project team members on project procedures and standards.
  • Serving as the secretariat for programme boards and stakeholder forums.

Key Accountabilities

  • Execute PMO processes to support the programme's planning, control, and reporting cycles.
  • Gather, collate, and present information for programme reporting.
  • Maintain registers for risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies effectively.
  • Ensure accurate recording, analysis, and presentation of information.
  • Provide administrative support to the programme team as required.

Skills and Knowledge
We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A solid understanding of formal project management methodologies.
  • Experience in benefits tracking and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in the MS Office Suite, with strong computer literacy.
  • Familiarity with MS Teams, MS SharePoint, MS Project, and Verto365.
  • Proven project planning abilities.
  • Experience working on projects with multiple suppliers and stakeholders, particularly system integrators.
  • A background in Oracle Cloud Fusion implementation or improvement projects is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills to record, analyse, and present information effectively.
  • A flexible and positive approach to work.
