Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance
- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks such as painting, basic carpentry, simple plumbing, and electrical work.
- Repair fixtures and fittings, including door handles, locks, light fittings, and furniture.
Building Upkeep
- Carry out routine inspections to identify potential maintenance issues.
- Promptly address maintenance problems, either completing repairs or arranging for specialised contractors.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas, ensuring that tools are stored correctly.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Identify and address any potential hazards, following safe working practices and using personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
External Contractor Liaison
- Work with external suppliers and contractors, ensuring their work meets required standards.
- Obtain quotes for larger repairs and refurbishments, presenting them for approval.
Customer and Office Support
- Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, and basic equipment set-up.
- Respond to maintenance requests from staff and tenants, offering excellent customer service.
- Keep the Facilities/Office Manager updated on tasks and timelines.
Ad-hoc Duties
- Help with miscellaneous tasks, such as overseeing deliveries and managing waste.
- Perform occasional maintenance at other properties owned by the company’s Directors.
- Undertake housekeeping activities and other duties as needed.Â

The Person
We are looking for someone with:Experience & Personal Attributes
- Proven experience in a maintenance or handyman role.
- Practical skills in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
- An understanding of health and safety regulations in the workplace.
- Basic IT literacy for logging tasks and communicating via email.
Desirable
- A relevant vocational qualification (e.g. City & Guilds).
- A valid UK driving licence.
