We are seeking a Level 3 Room Leader with a kind, fun and caring persona for a day nursery in Croydon. The room leader should have a genuine passion for Early Years and be able to offer high-quality childcare for an established family-run nursery. The aim should be to create an environment where children are happy, engaged, safe, and healthy.

Duties:

  • Support and encourage children to make their own choices, empowering them to be independent learners for when outside of preschool
  • Observe, analyse and create progress reports in relation to the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Respond to each child’s emerging needs and interests via clear and concise communication
  • Encourage children to communicate daily through warm and positive interactions
  • Planning and guiding children’s activities by reflecting on the ways different children learn and practice
  • Promote social time by interacting with other children during lunch and play breaks
  • Observe children’s behaviour and progress when performing activities and report back to parents regarding any development and concerns
  • Ensure that work is carried out in line with all relevant statutory children's legislation and comply with Ofsted standards and registration
  • Bring enthusiasm and excitement to every day, leading the team and encouraging everyone to do their very best for the children in our care
  • Ensuring the children are happy, settled and content
  • Inspire your team daily and ensure a high standard of care for all children
  • Develop and main meaningful, professional relationships with parents and carers!
  • Be able to embark on new adventures and develop wondrous new ideas to give the children the very best chance at learning something new!

  • Using open dialogue and giving regular feedback so that we can support families with little ones in our care ensuring well-being for all
  • Looking after every aspect of a child’s personal care needs each day-Keeping them happy, safe, stimulated and making sure they have fun learning with us
  • Creating and maintaining an innovative learning space where children can explore and learn every day! Looking after our quality resources and both outdoor/indoor space
  • Promoting a healthy lifestyle for all children, encouraging and supporting them at meal and snack times whilst also ensuring they have lots of time for active play

Requirements:

  • Relevant Level 3 childcare qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years of Early Years childcare experience
  • Confident verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Desire to help children develop and grow to achieve their full potential
  • A sense of humour and a BIG smile
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to a dynamic, child-centered environment
  • Enthusiasm, patience and experience for the Early Years sector
  • Be a quick thinker with the desire to help children develop and grow to reach their full potential
  • Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • An attentive and compassionate nature
  • Fully enhanced DBS
