Repairs Planner – Croydon (Temp to Perm)

Role Overview:

As a Repairs Planner, you'll be responsible for scheduling and coordinating repair works for operatives, ensuring efficient use of resources and high-quality service delivery to clients within the social housing sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and manage daily workloads for up to 20 operatives.

  • Monitor and allocate emergency jobs promptly to meet performance targets.

  • Liaise with surveyors to authorize job variations.

  • Provide a high standard of face-to-face service to clients.

  • Achieve daily targets of a minimum of 60 job allocations.

  • Handle calls and emails regarding repair issues and updates.

  • Maintain accurate and timely updates on the internal system.

  • Foster effective relationships with operatives, clients, and suppliers.

  • Diagnose repair issues using questioning and listening skills.

  • Manage the incoming repair inbox and allocate tasks appropriately.

Essential Requirements:
  • Experience in housing repairs and social housing environments.

  • Solid background in repair and maintenance work.

  • Proficient in using job planning/scheduling systems.

  • Understanding of trade types and typical repair job scopes.

  • Knowledge of Work-in-Progress management, jeopardy planning, and extension of time applications.

  • Familiarity with realistic trade job durations.
