We are working with an award winning, innovative and progressive Financial Services Consultancy who are now seeking a new Deputy Team Leader within the Corporate Services division.

This area of the business supports their pension scheme administration service in delivering business as usual services. You will be supporting the Central Team Manager in managing and developing a team (8 at the moment and growing) who offer first-line in-bound call support, process incoming digital and physical post, follow processes, update records, input data and provide support across the administration service.

Alongside the Central Team Manager, you will be responsible for helping to grow the Central Team and the personal development of the team members so that they achieve both individual and team targets and you will actively encourage their learning and development. Furthermore you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • The ongoing management, supervision, training and development of Central Team administrators.
  • Keeping up to date with technical, scheme and operational changes.
  • Supporting the Central Team Manager and covering the operational teams where necessary
  • Attending internal and external meetings to provide support and guidance on operational related administration issues.
  • Allocate, process and review high volumes of a range of member events ensuring they comply with scheme rules, legislation and internal standards.
  • Prioritising you and your team’s work to ensure delivery of member events to a high standard and in accordance with client Service Level Agreements.
  • Assist and support in the processing of all incoming information as well as managing the provision of first line call support for dedicated scheme helplines, freephone and general lines.

The role involves dealing with confidential information therefore a high level of discretion and professionalism is essential, as well as being able to work well under pressure.

As someone who is team-orientated with good interpersonal skills and a logical approach to problem solving, you will already be working in a customer centric environment (product training is provided) environment, coupled with possessing strong leadership and excellent customer service and communication skills.

This role is ideal for a Team Leader looking to move into a new sector or a Senior Customer Services professional with some leadership experience.
