Electrical Design Engineer

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary M&E design company, in a short-term contract position. As the successful candidate you will be required to work on a hybrid basis, working 3 days in our client’s office in Croydon, with two days working from home.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of commercial projects, with a mix of design and site surveys (stages 0-3).

-Competitive hourly rate ranging from £40-£45 (depending on experience),

-Hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

-Designing electrical systems to meet project needs and standards.

-Partake in regular site visits for surveying.

-Create technical drawings, specifications, and calculations for systems.

-Work alongside other engineers to integrate systems with building designs.

-Communicate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to meet deadlines.

-Ensure compliance with regulations and sustainability standards.

-Help prepare project cost estimates, schedules, and resources.

What we are looking for:

-A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

-Experience in electrical design and site surveying.

-Strong knowledge of electrical systems (lighting, power, distribution).

-Extensive experience with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).

-Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

-Familiarity with relevant building regulations, standards, and sustainability practices.
