This opportunity is designed for an Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager or Manager seeking a new challenge within a dynamic, people-first environment. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, high-performing team where they’ll take on a mixed portfolio of audit and accounts work for a diverse SME client base. They’ll be entrusted with managing client projects end-to-end, fostering strong relationships, and mentoring junior staff — all while contributing meaningfully to the firm’s collaborative culture.

�? Client Base & Responsibilities

The incoming manager will enjoy a varied workload, including:

  • Leading audits both independently and in collaboration with partners or colleagues on larger corporate assignments
  • Preparing statutory accounts
  • Advising on matters relating to corporation tax, VAT, and payroll
  • Navigating a diverse client base, from owner-managed businesses to not-for-profits

Candidates with at least 3 years of audit experience, a strong grasp of FRS 102 and UK GAAP, and familiarity with group structures or tools such as CCH and ProAudit will find this role particularly suited to their expertise.

The ideal applicant will:

  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified (or near qualification)
  • Have at least 3 years of audit experience, including leading audits from planning to sign-off
  • Be confident in client-facing roles and capable of nurturing client relationships
  • Demonstrate mentoring capabilities and a passion for developing junior team members
  • Be detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and skilled at problem-solving
