We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Primary Class Teacher with proven subject leadership experience to take a lead role in shaping and delivering high-quality English education across our primary phase.

Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for English Has experience leading a subject across the primary phase, with measurable impact Is committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil achievement Understands effective pedagogy and curriculum development in English Is Talk for Writing trained (desirable), and confident with Early Reading and phonics Has experience coaching or mentoring colleagues Is organised, reflective, and a positive team player

The Class Teacher & English Subject Leader will:

Lead the strategic development of English across the school Support the consistency and quality of English teaching from Early Years to Key Stage 2 Work with staff across year groups to develop and share high-impact teaching practices Ensure that reading and writing resources are inclusive and well matched to curriculum aims Contribute to staff training, development, and performance in English teaching Foster strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
