S&D Trade Recruitment is supporting our client based in Croydon in their search for a Lead Revit MEP. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside skilled engineers with expertise in Building Information Modelling (BIM), delivering BIM Level 2 projects across major sectors. The role will see you immediately contributing to a £25 million MEP project for a multi-disciplinary, mixed-use new build in Central London.

Our client’s team has a proven track record of successful projects, offering a one-stop-shop for all drawing and modelling services using advanced, real-time, 3D modelling software like Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD. The team collaborates closely with clients to ensure the design integrates seamlessly and efficiently into the overall building process, ensuring models are adaptable and built to the highest standards for construction.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000.  Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (8:30 am – 5:30 pm, 1 hour lunch).

Lead Revit MEP Duties:

  • Create and update Revit MEP drawings, following project requirements and industry standards.
  • Regularly run clash detection reports using Navisworks.
  • Review and update Revit models to reflect design changes.
  • Ensure all project documentation is completed on time and communicated clearly with the team.
  • Help prepare technical documents like specifications, schedules, and reports.
  • Take a lead role in coordinating Revit models/ designs across Mechanical, Electrical, Residential, Education, Commercial, Leisure, Decarbonisation Health & Social Care sectors. 
  • Produce full-scale 3D clash-free models to be used in client presentations.
  • Lead a team of CAD technicians who currently use both CAD and Revit, overseeing end designs.
  • Experience working with COBie Data and managing this back to the teams.
  • Work on multi-disciplinary, mixed-use, new build projects across Residential, Education, Commercial, Leisure, and Decarbonisation sectors.

Lead Revit MEP Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Revit MEP coordination role, or those REVIT MEP candidates looking to step up to a lead position.
  • Degree, HNC/HND, or relevant qualification in construction, mechanical/electrical engineering, or project management.
  • Background in MEP coordination or building services design.
  • Proven experience managing and leading teams.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems desirable.
  • Proficiency in Revit/BIM, Navisworks, AutoCAD,  COBie Data (desirable as training can be given).
  • Must have knowledge of BIM Level 2 standards.
  • Ability to manage and integrate models with other disciplines seamlessly.
  • Possess good problem-solving, communication, numeracy and collaboration skills.
