Position Summary:
The role is carrying out Electrical modifications including stripping and refitting. You will be specifically focused on modifications, interior and exterior strip and replace on modern tram units within a maintenance depot. This position is the key focal point for the safe and reliable running of the fleet on a busy commuter network. This is a safety Critical position working on a live maintenance depot and in this role, you would be expected to complete the following:
* Work from Engineering drawings and written instruction, working to specific measurements
* Replace components and wiring to correspond to engineering drawings
Person Profile:
You will be a highly self-motivated individual as training to develop will be given to these individuals. Attitude and enthusiasm are key for this role you should be able to follow detailed instructions as an eye for details is key to this role. Candidates from the following background will be considered:
* Rolling Stock
* HGV and PCV Technicians
* Plant Maintenance
* RAF, REME, Army, Navy
Ideal applicants will have Electrical modification or fitting experience on vehicle types ranging from trains to cars to aeroplanes.
