Remedy Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to join a supportive and inclusive school in South London as a Teaching Assistant.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a psychology graduate who is passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience in a school setting - ideal for anyone considering a future career in education, psychology, or therapy.
The role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning plans
Support pupils with emotional regulation, confidence, and social skills
Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Use your understanding of psychology to promote positive behaviour and wellbeing
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a degree in Psychology (or related subject)
Be passionate about working with children and supporting their development
Have experience working with young people, either in schools or through volunteering (desirable)
Be proactive, patient, and able to build strong relationships with pupils
Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS certificate
