Day Rate: 90-105 per day
Contract: Long-term to permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Join a 'Good' Ofsted-rated primary school in Croydon, known for its supportive, well-led environment for children aged 3-7.
This Teaching Assistant role focuses on providing 1:1 support to a Year 2 student with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
You will help them access the curriculum and develop crucial social and emotional skills within a nurturing Early Years setting, contributing to a diverse and ambitious school community. This is an excellent SEMH Teaching Assistant role for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored 1:1 emotional and behavioural support, building a strong rapport.
- Implement and adapt learning activities to aid curriculum access and emotional growth for SEMH learners.
- Collaborate with the teacher and SENDCo on student progress and support strategies.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment for the student's SEMH requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Qualifications: A relevant Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) is advantageous for this Teaching Assistant vacancy.
- Experience: Proven experience working with children with SEMH, complex needs, or SEND (Special Educational Needs). Early Years experience is beneficial.
- Soft Skills: Empathy, patience, resilience, strong communication, and ability to connect with young learners.
