Payroll Manager - East Croydon - Leading Property Management Brand

Are you a highly motivated and experienced Payroll professional with a passion for accuracy and a knack for managing a team?

Our market leading and well established Property Management company is recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join our growing team in East Croydon.

Our company specialises in managing blocks of flats and offers a range of related services including insurance broking, lettings management, surveying, company secretarial, and concierge services. We have a strong track record of success and are committed to providing exceptional service to our clients.

The Role:

As Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for multiple companies within our group, encompassing over 450 employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process payrolls for multiple companies using Sage 50 Payroll.
  • Monthly posting of payroll journals into Sage 200.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of payments and deductions for PAYE, TAX, NIC, SMP, SSP, and other benefits.
  • Manage auto enrollment pension processes and contributions.
  • Reconcile balance sheets and P&Ls related to payroll.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly salary recharge invoices.
  • Liaise with the HR department on employee onboarding, holiday, and sick leave.
  • Support the strategic acquisition policy by integrating payroll systems and processes for newly acquired entities.
  • Mentor, coach, and appraise direct reports.
  • Assist with annual staff cost budgets and the annual audit process.
  • Manage company benefits, including eye care, childcare vouchers, season ticket loans, and Enjoy Benefit deductions.


Skills and Experience:

Essential:

* Payroll qualifications and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience.
* Strong understanding of statutory requirements, including pension reforms.
* Proven team management skills.
* Experience in accounting.
* Excellent Microsoft skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
* Experience with Sage 50 Payroll.

Desirable:

* Experience with Sage 200 Accounts.

* CIPP qualification
