Location: Croydon
Shift Pattern: Choice of shift pattern (7am–3pm, 8am–4pm, or 10am–6pm)
Rate of Pay: £22ph
Contract: Permanent

About The Company:
An independent commercial vehicle repair and maintenance business in Croydon with a busy 8,000 sq ft workshop. Many of the Technicians have been with the business for many years.

You’ll be working on a wide variety of vehicles including HGVs, trailers and LCVs. The workshop is well equipped with 3 ramps, more than 5 bays, and a brake roller tester – everything you’d expect to help a good HGV Technician do the job properly.

The Role
As an HGV Technician with us, your day-to-day will include:

• Routine servicing, inspections, and MOT preparation on HGVs, trailers, and LCVs
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify issues quickly and accurately
• Working closely with other technicians and the workshop manager to prioritise jobs
• Maintaining a tidy, safe and well-organised work area

Hours & Pay

• Choose one of the following shifts: 7am–3pm, 8am–4pm, or 10am–6pm
• Overtime available before/after shifts and Saturday mornings
• £22 per hour (basic) / £25 per hour (overtime)

What We’re Looking For
We’re after an experienced HGV Technician with a solid background in commercial vehicle maintenance and repair. Ideally, you’ll have:

• A Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent experience)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• A proactive approach to work with the ability to manage your own workload
• A full UK driving licence (an HGV licence would be a bonus, but not essential)
