SUMMARY
A modern forward-thinking school with a vibrant community is seeking to appoint a Female Teacher of PE to join their team of five PE colleagues from September 2025. This is a 1 year fixed term contract and is open to ECTs.
THE SCHOOL

THE PE DEPARTMENT
Has brand-new facilities, including Sports Hall, Fitness Suite, Activities Studio and changing rooms and lovely outdoor spaces, including a 3G Astro Turf and large grass fields and are proud of, is the sense of team and community and the relationships seen in the day-to-day interactions between staff, students and the wider community.
All students take part in core PE, and both Sport and Health and Social Care are popular option subjects at Key Stage 4.
The Headteacher is seeking to appoint a colleague that has ambition for their students and will lead their curriculum areas ensuring it informs, transforms and generates a lifelong love of learning.
The Headteacher committed to high-quality, collaborative and relevant CPD for all members of staff to enable and support them to make the best possible progress in their role and in their future career development. As a growing school there are many opportunities for 'in-house’ progression.
To be a successful Teacher of PE, you will need:
· Develop and implement engaging physical education curricula that promote physical fitness and healthy living.
· Teach students the fundamentals of various sports, including rules, techniques, and strategies.
· Create a positive learning environment that encourages participation and teamwork.
· Manage student behaviour effectively to maintain a respectful and productive classroom atmosphere.
· Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
· Organise and supervise sports events, competitions, and physical activities outside of regular class hours.
· Collaborate with other educators to integrate physical education with other subjects.
· Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.

- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent overseas teaching qualification recognized in the UK.
- Demonstrate Good to Outstanding teaching abilities.
- Embrace challenges and have the resilience to face them head-on.
- Commit to a long-term position, available Monday to Friday (part-time applicants will not be considered).
- Possess an enhanced DBS registered with the update service or be willing to undergo a new check.
