This is a fantastic opportunity to support students in overcoming barriers to learning, helping them to achieve both academically and personally.

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional emotional, behavioural, or social support. Your role will involve:

  • Building positive relationships with students to encourage confidence and engagement

  • Supporting pupils in and out of class, helping them manage their behaviour and develop self-regulation strategies

  • Working with teaching staff, SENCOs, and parents to create tailored support plans

  • Delivering 1:1 or small group interventions focused on behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and resilience

  • Promoting an inclusive and respectful school environment

About You:
  • Previous experience working with young people with behavioural or emotional needs (school, youth work, or similar setting)

  • Calm, empathetic, and patient with strong communication skills

  • Ability to de-escalate challenging situations and support positive behaviour

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • Relevant qualifications in youth work, education, psychology, or similar (desirable)
