A nurturing and welcoming Catholic primary school in New Addington (CR0) is seeking a compassionate and committed Learning Support Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time, long-term basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a mainstream setting, supporting young children with their early development and learning journey.

?? Role Overview:

  • Position: Learning Support Assistant - Early Years (Nursery/Reception)

  • Start Date: ASAP or September 2025

  • Contract Type: Full Time, Long Term

  • Location: New Addington, Croydon Borough

  • School Type: Mainstream Catholic Primary School

�? Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general and targeted support to children in Early Years, both 1:1 and in small groups

  • Assist with phonics, play-based learning, and personal development activities

  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that reflects the school's Catholic values

  • Help with personal care and support routines where needed

  • Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCO to monitor and support individual progress

?? Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working in Early Years and understanding of the EYFS Framework

  • A kind, calm, and patient approach with a passion for supporting young learners

  • Comfortable working in a faith-based setting (practising Catholic not essential)

  • SEN experience or willingness to support children with additional needs

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
