Join our dedicated team as a Primary Teaching Assistant, where you will have the opportunity to support children across all year groups, focusing particularly on those with special educational needs. This role is ideal for passionate and proactive individuals who are committed to creating an inclusive environment and supporting the educational development of pupils with mild to moderate learning difficulties, including those within the Autistic Spectrum.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work predominantly in a 1:1 setting across various age groups.
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation alongside the class teacher.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, particularly those with special educational needs.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students.
  • Collaborate closely with the SENCO and class teacher to ensure effective support.
  • Contribute to creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting.
  • Awareness of, and ideally experience with, special educational needs (SEN).
  • Proactive, compassionate, and patient approach to student interaction.
  • Strong nurturing and caring attitude.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of working well within a team.
