About the Role

This is a hands-on, senior-level role where your technical ability and leadership will shine. Youll be working on a wide range of used vehicles carrying out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs while also supporting and guiding less experienced technicians. Whether its a complex mechanical fault or a quick turnaround repair, youll take pride in doing things properly, and efficiently. Youll also have a say in how the workshop operates day-to-day, and play a key part in maintaining its excellent reputation.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8am 6pm
Every other Saturday: 8am 1pm

Key Duties
  • Carrying out engine/gearbox work, clutches, timing belts, head gaskets

  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with industry and RAC Buysure standards

  • Confirm repairs and identify faults

  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed and parts used

  • Working closely with the workshop manager to keep operations running smoothly

Key Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic, ideally at senior level

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across multiple makes and models

  • Level 2/Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or Time served Vehicle technician

  • Confident working independently and as part of a team

  • Full UK or EU driving licence
