Your new company
The company has a fantastic product and offers service levels not seen in the industry. They have some exciting plans for growth and are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to report into the Finance Director. You will have lots of opportunities to develop your finance skillset, where flexibility and a can-do attitude is key for you to succeed.
Your new role
The main duties of the role are as follows:
- Assisting with the monthly management accounts preparation and variance analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Month-end duties to include journals and payments runs
- Full responsibility for purchase and sales ledger
The role will also require you to undertake some non-finance duties;
- Issuing PO numbers and collating site
- Fleet administration (Tax, MOT's and servicing).
- Diary management for the Senior Management team
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous finance experience to the level where you will have undertaken management reporting and be happy to carry on undertaking the transactional accounting for the business as your role grows.
This is a fast-paced environment, where a strong personality with good communication skills and a willingness to get stuck in will be required. Experience of using Xero and knowledge of Dext would be a bonus.
