- Work in close partnership with the Named Nurse for Looked After Children to ensure the effective planning, management, and monitoring of healthcare services for Looked After Children.
- Hold responsibility for a designated caseload, autonomously undertaking statutory health assessments and providing direct, specialist clinical input to meet individual health needs.
- Support the implementation of national and local guidance and policies, working collaboratively with the Named Nurse and Named Doctor for LAC.
- Ensure children and young people in care receive timely, holistic, and child-focused health assessments and interventions in line with statutory requirements.
- Provide and deliver training and education to foster carers and professionals within health and social care.
- Promote best practice and work in accordance with local safeguarding procedures and multi-agency working protocols.
- Registered Nurse (Child or Adult) with active NMC registration
- Significant experience working with Looked After Children or in a relevant public health/safeguarding role
- Strong knowledge of statutory guidance, policies, and frameworks related to Looked After Children
- Excellent communication, organisational, and report writing skills
- Ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and deliver professional training
- Enhanced DBS required
