1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) - Cwmbran

If so, Academics is currently recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ALN (Additional Learning Needs) in a Cwmbran primary school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 support for a Key Stage 1 pupil with specific learning needs
• Supporting the child with daily classroom activities, including literacy and numeracy
• Implementing personalised strategies to aid academic and emotional development
• Building a strong and trusting relationship with the pupil
• Working closely with the class teacher and parents to monitor and report progress

Requirements:

• Experience working in a SEN setting (essential)
• Previous experience supporting ALN pupils 1:1 (desirable)
• Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willing to apply through us)
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (we can support with this)
• Two recent and relevant professional references
