Job Title: Commercial Water PPM - Field Operations Technician
Location: East London & Inner M25
Salary: 41,000 - 47,000
Reports To: Field Operations Manager

Purpose:
As a Water Hygiene Field Operations Technician, you will oversee planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks, ensuring timely and compliant completion across various contracts. You'll lead a team of operatives and subcontractors, conduct water hygiene duties (e.g., tank inspections, temperature monitoring, cleaning), and maintain high customer satisfaction. The role is office- and field-based, focusing on compliance, performance, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team to carry out PPM tasks (sampling, dosing, inspections) to closed heating systems and associated plant.

  • Ensure 100% compliance with industry standards and Group guidelines.

  • Monitor operative performance, identify training needs, and implement improvements.

  • Collaborate with admin, account managers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient scheduling and completion of tasks.

  • Handle rescheduling, customer communication, and ensure delivery aligns with service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs.

  • Attend monthly meetings with subcontractors for work reconciliation.

  • Ensure continuous health and safety compliance for the team, including PPE and risk assessments.

Qualifications:

  • A Level or NVQ 3 (Desirable)

  • ACOP L8, HSG274, BS8552 (Essential)

  • Legionella Awareness (Desirable)

  • IOSH 'Working Safely' Certificate (Desirable)

  • Full driving licence (Essential)

Skills & Experience:

  • Supervisory experience and managing commercial aspects of contracts (Essential)

  • Strong communication, time management, and people management skills (Essential)

  • Experience in contract management and compliance (Desirable)
