Remedy Education are looking for a confident, resilient and supportive Behaviour Mentor to join a mainstream school in Dagenham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced in supporting pupils with behavioural, social and emotional needs who can build trust, provide stability and help students re-engage positively with learning.

The school is welcoming, supportive and committed to providing the right environment for pupils who need additional guidance and structured support.



The Role:

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group behaviour support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs

  • Help pupils regulate emotions, develop positive coping strategies, and improve behaviour

  • Support behaviour plans and interventions set by the SENCo and pastoral team

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may be disengaged or anxious

  • Assist classroom teachers to maintain a positive and productive learning environment

  • Encourage confidence, resilience and positive decision-making

  • Support students during transitions, break times and unstructured parts of the day



The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs

  • Confident, calm and patient, with strong behaviour management skills

  • Able to build rapport quickly and act as a positive role model

  • A team player who can communicate effectively with teachers, parents and pastoral staff

  • Passionate about helping pupils improve their wellbeing and engagement in school

  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS
