Location: Barking & Dagenham (Hybrid with onsite visits)
Rate: PO2 grade (competitive)
Hours: 35 per week (Mon-Fri)
Contract: 12-month assignment
Caseload: Children (Paediatric)



About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the Enabling Independence Team in Barking & Dagenham. This role focuses on supporting children and families through functional assessments, equipment provision, and adaptations to promote independence and improve quality of life.



Key Responsibilities

  • Complete paediatric OT assessments and develop tailored intervention plans.
  • Recommend and arrange adaptations, assistive technology, and specialist equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, schools, and families.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory frameworks and maintain accurate case records.


Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Relevant experience in social services and paediatric OT practice.
  • Strong knowledge of housing adaptations, moving & handling, and risk assessments.


Working Arrangements

  • Hybrid model: office-based and home working with onsite visits.
  • IT equipment provided (collection from Barking Town Hall required).
