CNC Operator

The Role

To support manufacturing operations by operating CNC machinery in the production of wood and metal-based products, with a focus on flooring components.

CNC Operator

Main Responsibilities

• Operate CNC drilling/routing machines to manufacture flooring panel trays and other related products.
• Produce accurate component parts in accordance with work schedules and specifications.
• Organise and manage workloads by reviewing job sheets and prioritising tasks effectively.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment by clearing scrap materials, maintaining workstation cleanliness, and adhering to Health & Safety regulations.
• Manage materials and inventory by:
• Locating and verifying items from stock
• Loading and transporting items using carts or trucks
• Returning unused materials to storage
• Support production processes through:
• Inspection, preparation, weighing, measuring, cutting, trimming, and loading materials
• Maintain accurate production records, including material usage and daily output.
• Take initiative to develop job knowledge through available training opportunities.
• Contribute to company goals by taking ownership of workload and seeking ways to improve processes.
• Help in other business areas as required.

CNC Operator

The Candidate

• Experience with CNC machines, particularly CNC drills
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and power tools
• Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Experience in equipment maintenance and general inventory control
• Physical capability for manual lifting and handling of materials
• Effective communicator and reliable team player
• Problem-solver with a proactive mindset and ability to manage personal workload
• Personal qualities: Pride, Enthusiasm, Honesty, Loyalty

• Minimum one year of factory or production experience

   

• Hands on experience with CNC Drilling equipment
