Manufacturing Manager, Salary: £50k + excellent package, Based; Dartford, Kent

We have an exciting opportunity for Manufacturing Manager to join a leading organisation.

Candidates will need to have proven experience in a Manufacturing Manager / Production Manager / Operations Manager / Workshop Manager, or similar role with a track record of delivering on targets, quality, process (lean and continuous improvement) and H&S through high level leadership.

Manufacturing Manager – The role:

As the Manufacturing Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the Manufacturing facility, ensuring the highest quality and on time delivery.

  • Managing, coaching and mentoring an operations team.
  • Monitor and evaluate the team’s performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions. Identify training and upskilling opportunities and supporting career growth within the team.
  • Schedule, and deliver the production plan, optimising efficiencies and delivering on KPI’s and targets.
  • Identify and implement workflow and process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all health and safety regulations and procedures are met and embedding a health and safety culture throughout the site.

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role i.e. Manufacturing Manager / Production Manager / Operations Manager / Workshop Manager
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to success and build a positive team culture.
  • P+L understanding for material and labour cost control.
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience of delivering results through process improvement, Lean fundamentals and continuous improvement. 
  • Experience of managing Health and Safety
  • Experience of delivering results against operational, quality, safety and cost targets
