About the Role:

Berry Recruitment Darlington is currently recruiting for a School Administrator to work on a temporary basis for a reputable school in Darlington. This is an immediate start position.

Important: An Enhanced DBS check including the child barring list is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome visitors, manage front-desk enquiries, and schedule appointments.
  • Handle incoming calls, take and relay messages, send emails, and liaise with staff and external agencies.
  • Maintain filing systems for confidential documentation and records.
  • Photocopy, print, laminate, and prepare multiple documents as required.
  • Assist with school admissions paperwork and general office supplies.
  • Support day-to-day administrative tasks as required by the school office.

Requirements:

  • Must have an Enhanced DBS check with child barring list.
  • Must be available for immediate start.
  • Previous administrative experience, ideally within a school or education environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with general office software (e.g., MS Office, email).
  • Professional, discreet, and able to handle confidential information.
