Counterbalance Forklift Operator
Location: Darlington
Pay Rate: 14.50 per hour

We are recruiting for a Production Operative with strong counterbalance forklift experience to join a well-established manufacturing company in Darlington. This is a full-time, ongoing temporary opportunity with long-term potential.

Please note: This role is predominantly forklift-based. A valid, in-date counterbalance forklift truck licence is essential, and you must be confident operating a forklift in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to move raw materials, components, and finished goods

  • Load and unload production machinery and storage areas

  • Support the preparation and movement of materials for mixing, extrusion, and blending processes

  • Assist production teams with basic machine operation when required

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health & safety policies

  • Accurately follow batch instructions and standard operating procedures

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality control, and warehouse teams

Requirements:

  • Current, valid counterbalance forklift truck licence (essential)

  • Recent forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting

  • Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently

  • Good time management and attention to detail

  • Willingness to support wider production tasks if required
