Job Title: Lead Occupational Therapist Location: Priory Hospital Middleton St George, Darlington, Contract Type: Permanent Job Summary: Priory Hospital Middleton St George is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Occupational Therapist to lead our Occupational Therapy service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in shaping and delivering person-centred, recovery-focused care across a range of specialist mental health services, including acute, PICU, and rehabilitation settings. Key Responsibilities: Provide professional leadership to the OT team and wider therapy services Oversee the development and delivery of evidence-based OT interventions Ensure high-quality assessments and personalised treatment planning Supervise and support the development of junior OTs and OT assistants Collaborate closely with the wider MDT to promote holistic recovery outcomes Lead on service audits, outcome measures, and continuous service improvement initiatives Uphold and promote best practice standards and clinical governance Requirements: HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist Significant post-registration experience, ideally in secure or mental health settings Demonstrated leadership, supervision, and service development skills Strong knowledge of recovery-oriented practice and therapeutic approaches Excellent communication, organisational, and team-working skills What We Offer: Opportunities for continued professional development and career progression Supportive working environment within a multidisciplinary team Access to Priorys internal leadership and management training programmes Company benefits including pension scheme, staff wellbeing initiatives, and more
