We are currently working in partnership with a client in Darlington to appoint an experienced Specialist Family Practitioner (SFP) to join their Children in Need Team.
As a SFP, you will play a vital part in delivering early intervention and support, providing direct work with children, supervising family contact sessions, and working with partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for those we support.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake home visits and provide practical, parenting, and emotional support to families
  • Supervise contact between children and parents in a safe, sensitive manner
  • Assist with assessments, safeguarding plans, and support interventions across a range of cases including Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children
  • Liaise with external agencies to ensure cohesive support for children and families
  • Maintain accurate records, contribute to reports, and support service performance
  • Understand and respond appropriately to issues such as neglect, abuse, and family dynamics


Contract: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.
Pay Rate: 16-20 per hour
Working pattern - 37 hours per week
