Role: Welder
Location: Darlington, UK (Onsite role)
Initial assignment duration: 1month with possibility for extension
Skillset and experience:
- MIG or TIG welding experience (MIG is preferable)
- Able to weld to automotive quality standard (2-3mm)
- Candidates from a general manufacturing background preferred
- experience in automotive would be a big plus but is not required
Experience Required:
Demonstrable relevant experience in welding/fabrication within a sheet metal manufacturing environment using MIG, TIG or ARC/MMA.


Recognized Qualifications:
Desirable ABC Certificate Level 1, 2 or 3 in Fabrication & Welding Practice.
City & Guilds Award in Welding Skills; Certificate Level 1, 2 or 3 in Engineering.
BTEC National Certificate/Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering with Fabrication & Welding; Mechanical Engineering.
National Vocational Qualification Level 1, 2 or 3 Performing Engineering Operations; Fabrication & Welding Engineering; Welding with Platework; Fabrication & Welding.
Or other qualifications that include MIG (metal inert gas), TIG (tungsten inert gas) or MMA/ARC (manual metal arc)
Or time served Apprenticeship within a manufacturing environment Or demonstrable proven work experience in welding in a manufacturing environment


Essential Note: This role will require the applicant to undertake a MIG weld test on the site.
