A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Formulation Development Scientist to join a well-established and innovative organisation operating within the pharmaceutical and nutritional sectors.
This hands-on, lab-based role is ideal for a technically minded scientist with experience in solid oral dosage form development. You’ll work closely with internal teams and customers to support the development of new and existing products, create scalable prototype formulations, and contribute to exciting research and innovation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop formulations for tablets and capsules, progressing from lab-scale to production.
- Support technical projects and customer requirements within a state-of-the-art formulation centre.
- Conduct research into excipients, materials and applications data.
- Prepare and present high-quality technical reports and findings.
- Participate in customer education events and provide on-site technical support as needed.
- Maintain lab standards, ensure equipment calibration, and adhere to safety and quality procedures.
Essential Requirements:
- Background in pharmaceutical formulation, particularly solid oral dosage forms.
- Educated to BSc level as a minimum in a related Scientific field (Chemistry; Food Science; Materials Science; Pharmaceutical)
- Experience with excipients and formulation development processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to deliver clear technical information.
- Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment
