Davies Turner has an exciting opportunity for a Central Planning Office Coordinator to join their Import control tower team in Dartford.

Location: Dartford, DA2 6QJ

Salary: Competitive

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday (37.5hours per week)

Central Planning Office Coordinator - The Role:

Davies Turner have an opportunity for a Central Planning Office Co-ordinator within their Import control tower team in Dartford. This position is based at Edison's Business Park, Crossways in Dartford, which has good road, bus and rail links.

The successful candidate will be part of a close team, arranging customs clearance and deliveries for partner paid traffic, as well as preparing import documentation for international trailers arriving from Benelux.

The role involves maintaining the effective running of the company's import services on behalf of both the partner, and internal stakeholders. With a view to improving the business volumes and maximising quality and efficiency.

You will be part of a close, busy team providing a high level of service for our partner. Paying close attention to transit time, efficiency and profitability. A team player attitude and clear effective communication is a must.


Central Planning Office Coordinator - Key Responsibilities:

- Handling the customs clearance via DT customs team or liaising with external brokers for partner paid traffic where you will have a number of key accounts

- Arranging final mile delivery to UK importers, striking the balance between service and cost

- Liaising with our overseas partners, various internal departments and UK clients

- Invoicing, passing invoices and dealing with queries

- Preparing quotations for the partner for special services

- Updating CRT colleagues of delays to inbound international trailers

- Building EDI's and preparing documentation for customs teams

Central Planning Office Coordinator - You:

For this Central Planning Office Co-ordinator opportunity, if you have the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in European Road Freight operations

- IT literate

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication skills

- Confident and polite disposition

- Good commercial awareness

- Good attention to detail

- Ability to build a rapport with Customers, partners and Davies Turner colleague

- GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)

In addition, you will need the right to work in the UK - we cannot sponsor work permits.
