Our client, a leading organisation in the housing sector, is seeking a passionate Health & Safety Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis, working hybridly from their Dartford office. Position: Health & Safety AdvisorLocation: Dartford, KentContract Type: PermanentSalary: £39,860 - £49,825 per annum (plus a Car Allowance of £2,272 per annum). Working Pattern: Full Time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday)Driving Required: Yes

What You'll Do:In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive health and safety inspections, compliance audits, and site inspections (please note, a car driver & owner is essential)
  • Provide expert advice and support in line with health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Manage and oversee CDM tasks for minor projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Ensure contractors' risk assessments and method statements are accurate and compliant.
  • Act as Principal Designer for minor CDM projects, including notifying the HSE as required.
  • Carry out accident investigations, and report on health and safety key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote a culture of health and safety across the organisation.
  • Assist in delivering various health and safety actions and deputise for the Head of Health, Safety & Facilities Management as needed.

What You Need:To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Health and Safety qualifications equivalent to NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • A solid background in construction health and safety, with practical experience supporting projects.
  • Experience in the role of Principal Designer on a range of construction projects.
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations, asbestos management, and fire safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and database systems for data management and reporting.
  • Strong investigative skills to conduct accident investigations, including root cause analysis.
  • A customer-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
