Mechanical Fitter – Contract to Permanent Opportunity
Location: Dartford
Shift Pattern: 2 days, 2 late shifts, 4 days off
Rate: £25.37 per hour (umbrella)

This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled Maintenance Fitters to step into a key role ensuring the smooth operation of on-board toilet systems across a fleet of trains. Key Responsibilities:

  • Spend 75% of your time on board trains, addressing any faults or maintenance issues related to toilet facilities.
  • Ensure all components within toilet vestibules are fully operational, including doors, toilets, sinks, and hand dryers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve blockages or replace toilet systems when required.
  • Provide maintenance support across multiple fleets operating within the network.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with similar mechanical systems.
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude and ability to tackle challenges head-on—including messy tasks!
  • Previous experience as a sanitation worker is highly advantageous.
  • Comfortable working independently and covering routes from London Victoria to the South East coast.
